Time is a funny thing....

Well hello everyone!
Its almost been a year since i wrote last and life has had so many changes. I am currently living and looking for work in California until April when i go back to school. I have been dating Christopher Olive for 8 months and just recently its changed to an Elder Olive that i write to. Im pretty proud of him and am pretty excited for this time in his life that he'll learn and grow so much, as well as this time in mine that i'll be doing the same. Its hard having your best friend not be there to talk to, but i know the Lord knows whats best. I find my comfort in the fact that we're both taking the paths we've been inspired to take, as uncomfortable and new as they may be. My life has changed so much in even the last month and i have really relied on the Lord for guidance and support. Its amazing, the plans He has for us and how He humbles us through trials to make us better and more faithful.
Anyway, im here loving the warm weather, looking for more than a part time job, going to institute, trying to avoid enthusiastic boys (haha thats a first), and spending time with the kids of family i live with. Its a strange life, but a good one. Lots of love to all my family!

Back for a short break

So im home for the week and actually had some spare time to update y'all. I know i said i'd write about my vegas trip but there's not much to write about: it was lots of fun, we went on the strip one night, the weather was an amazing 75 degrees, and my favorite part was the water show! I was also amazed at the amount of beautiful architecture, decoration and painting inside the bulidings! The rest of my semester has been good, tho slightly more stressful. Looking back i did quite a few new things this semester; snowboarding, went to vegas, snowmobiling, put a hole in the wall(that was fun), and made a whole lot of new acquaintences and close friends. All my roommates are gone for the summer semester so i get a whole new apartment and im just hoping they'll be half as good as the ones i had. Im very excited for the summer semester in which im going to be taking some piano lessons, intermediate latin dancing, and joining ultimate frizbee and softball competitive teams! I also decided to stick with Russian even though i wont be going there this fall, its such a beautiful language and interesting culture. Im taking 14 credits this semester so hopefully i'll be able to balance everything out. Im very much looking foreward to summer with better weather and new experiences. I hope everyone is doing well, i have a lot to be grateful for... Life is good!

Quick update on college...

Hello everyone! Its been a while since i updated and i finally am able to get a picture or 2 on! I have been at BYUI for about half a semester and i'v been loving it. Well, other than the loads of homework. I am taking 16 credits: Russian 101, Visual Arts, Philosophy 314, Clogging, Humanaties, and a Book of Mormon class. My favorite is definately clogging and least favorite is philosophy. I get along amazingly with and love my roomates! We're very diverse, my room roommate Amy is from New York, Dana and Courtney Las Vegas, and Makhoto Japan. We have some great times and are always there for eachother, i am so grateful for wonderful roommates. The picture to the right is of me and my boyfriend John Pearson. I met him up here this semester and he's and awesome guy. He's from Utah and has been back from serving mission in Japan for 6 months. Believe it or not he's being a good influnence on me, makes me work on my homework, gives me a more positive attitude, lifts me up spiritually... and he's pretty cute too. Haha anyway I recently went on a weekend trip to Vegas with 2 of my roommates but i'll have to write about that later, i'v got a paper to finish! Love to all my family!

Another turkey come and gone

Well Thanksgiving came and went leaving us as a reminder a few pounds heavier, a lot more fun, and a little more broke :D It was a good turkey day at our home. Altogether there were about 25 of us seated around 3 tables. Mostly aunt, uncle, and cousins with the exception of Tia's boyfriend Brandon and the missionaries . They thoroughly enjoyed their meal, and as it turned out one of them had excellent ettiquette(spelling?) !
I had to laugh at this...
He helped me set the table and told me the proper place for everything. . . and then straightened everything after i was done. THEN he took the napkins and started folding them! When he was done everyone had their own different folded napkin in various shapes. I think mine was a lilly, and we had turkeys, candles, and various different flowers. Too funny!
Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed.
I think Kimberly was too, she latched on to him and wouldn't leave till he showed her how to do it. She can be kindof stubborn like that ;)

The food was excellent, the company wonderful, and the games didn't stop till late that night. All in all I can say that our Thanksgiving was a great success and we have lots to be grateful for!

Trick or Treat?

I had a crazy thing happen today. I was at work talking with my co-workers about Halloween costumes and this customer of ours asked us if we all had costumes for Halloween. I said i didn't and she got all excited and said she had authentic clothes and would dress me up as a Geisha, painted face and everything!!!

Wow! I was a little stunned but it sounded pretty cool, so i said that would be awesome. She told me to meet her at 8am at the bank on Wednesday morning and she would dress me properly and paint my face up!

Sooo. . . . . . . . .
This Halloween I will be the most dressed up I have ever been, as a Japanease prostitute!

When it rains it pours!

So i had a little incident on Friday at work...
I wasnt feeling too great that morning and hadnt had time to eat breakfast. At lunch i had a piece of pizza and still wasnt feeling wonderful (yes, i'v been told that pizza isn't the best choice when your sick). I felt so bad that i stayed in the basement of the bank, where i was having my lunch, and called up to let them know that i wasnt feeling good. I finally decided that i should get up and work, so i called rachelle on my cell, and as i was talking and getting up i passed out!

When i woke up i was looking at the celing, tangled in the blanket i had been wearing. I few seconds later my boss, Debbie, walked in and found me! I think i gave her a bit of a scare! She got me up and sent me home with my neighbor who just happened to be at the bank.

SO. . . that was an interesting experience and im still not sure why i fainted. I went home and slept, and slept most of saturday and went to church sunday and was mostly better.
By monday i was fully recovered and i have been soundly scolded by everyone so that next time i think about doing that i will think again!!

*chuckles*

AND, if that wasnt enough. . . i played ultimate frizbee on monday like usual and rolled my ankle mid-game! So my week/weekend hasnt been the best but its sure been eventful !
