Another turkey come and gone

Well Thanksgiving came and went leaving us as a reminder a few pounds heavier, a lot more fun, and a little more broke :D It was a good turkey day at our home. Altogether there were about 25 of us seated around 3 tables. Mostly aunt, uncle, and cousins with the exception of Tia's boyfriend Brandon and the missionaries . They thoroughly enjoyed their meal, and as it turned out one of them had excellent ettiquette(spelling?) !
I had to laugh at this...
He helped me set the table and told me the proper place for everything. . . and then straightened everything after i was done. THEN he took the napkins and started folding them! When he was done everyone had their own different folded napkin in various shapes. I think mine was a lilly, and we had turkeys, candles, and various different flowers. Too funny!
Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed.
I think Kimberly was too, she latched on to him and wouldn't leave till he showed her how to do it. She can be kindof stubborn like that ;)

The food was excellent, the company wonderful, and the games didn't stop till late that night. All in all I can say that our Thanksgiving was a great success and we have lots to be grateful for!

Trick or Treat?

I had a crazy thing happen today. I was at work talking with my co-workers about Halloween costumes and this customer of ours asked us if we all had costumes for Halloween. I said i didn't and she got all excited and said she had authentic clothes and would dress me up as a Geisha, painted face and everything!!!

Wow! I was a little stunned but it sounded pretty cool, so i said that would be awesome. She told me to meet her at 8am at the bank on Wednesday morning and she would dress me properly and paint my face up!

Sooo. . . . . . . . .
This Halloween I will be the most dressed up I have ever been, as a Japanease prostitute!

Ok: so I always said i'd do it, but now its actually done! Im blonde!! Not in the dumb steryotipical sense, but my hair is blonde! Its taken a little bit to get used to, and i still have moments of panic, but its a fun change.

Next on the list, i've never had my hair REALLY short, so its going!

When it rains it pours!

So i had a little incident on Friday at work...
I wasnt feeling too great that morning and hadnt had time to eat breakfast. At lunch i had a piece of pizza and still wasnt feeling wonderful (yes, i'v been told that pizza isn't the best choice when your sick). I felt so bad that i stayed in the basement of the bank, where i was having my lunch, and called up to let them know that i wasnt feeling good. I finally decided that i should get up and work, so i called rachelle on my cell, and as i was talking and getting up i passed out!

When i woke up i was looking at the celing, tangled in the blanket i had been wearing. I few seconds later my boss, Debbie, walked in and found me! I think i gave her a bit of a scare! She got me up and sent me home with my neighbor who just happened to be at the bank.

SO. . . that was an interesting experience and im still not sure why i fainted. I went home and slept, and slept most of saturday and went to church sunday and was mostly better.
By monday i was fully recovered and i have been soundly scolded by everyone so that next time i think about doing that i will think again!!

*chuckles*

AND, if that wasnt enough. . . i played ultimate frizbee on monday like usual and rolled my ankle mid-game! So my week/weekend hasnt been the best but its sure been eventful !

Just an update...

Life is going very well! Just this week i got a calling in my ward. . . im Enrichment Leader !!! Yikes! Im really excited and slightly scared! Not too scared yet, but we'll see how the first enrichment night goes. Im actually really glad to have a calling, i just hope i do a good job!

My institute class tonight is taught by a very ecentric man who talks at about 50 mph, but he's very smart and i enjoy listening to him. On Wednesdays i leave work early to go to class, then stay for the IWA (Institute Womens Association) Event, and after that a bunch of the girls go from there to one apartment and have a girls night. That always includes lots of junk food, sometimes Erin makes us chinese food(my favorite!!!!), and games or girly movies.
I love wednesday nights!

Work work work

I am at work right now, and its pretty slow. I already mentioned it, but i work at Washington Mutual Bank as a teller. I have been working here for 2 years now and i still love/hate it. I never pictured myself working at a bank because i am more of the creative, not good with numbers or math type. So its been interesting but i found out that its not that difficult and doesnt require much math. I sell, promote products, reffer, and help our customers with transactions.
Until a week or so ago i worked with Debbie, Casey, and Rachelle. Its an all women branch and i love it! We all get along really well, especially rachelle and i. A week or so ago we got a manager and her name is Natalie. She is 26 and mormon! What a surprise! Thankfully she fits right in AND she's kept us on our toes. I will be working here until the end of December when im going to leave for school. I would say that overall it has been a good experience for me. Kind of opened my eyes to the politics and snubbery that can go on, as well as what to expect out of a job and how to get along when you might not otherwise want to. I enjoy most our customers and the gals i work with, but dont plan to make a career of it!

My life is an open book... now all i need is an editor!

Aloha! Here i am at gradndpa and grandma's house and i find myself on the computer setting up a new site. I have to admit that its not something i usually do when i go to visit the relatives. Im excited though, it will be fun finding out whats going on with the family. i have been down in rexburg taking Tia to college and will be leaving on tuesday. So far its been as exciting as you can expect in college apartments. I will be comming back in the winter to attend BYU-I also, so its been nice to check out the campus and apartments. I think i will even be rooming in the same apartment as tia when i do go down! oh boy, since andrew will be here too we'll have practically the whole family there!! look out rexburg!
